current album: A genius mix that we made on ITunes that was derived from Jack and Diane by John Mellencamp. He refers to it as Jackson Diane. He sings the guitar part by saying duh duh duh nonni nonni.
current film: Ice Age 2, which for some reason that Craig and I cannot figure out, he refers to as Ice Age Two Thousand Dollars.
current shame-inducing guilty pleasure: I asked Craig and he said, keeping boogers on his cheeks. Really, doing the exact opposite of anything we ask him to do. Refer to answer 1. He's going through some stuff.
current color: I don't think he really has a preference. He was on a purple kick for a long time, but he seems off it.

current fetish: Avoiding sleep. There is a long progression of delaying bedtime involving begging, tantrum throwing, copious amounts of urinating in very small amounts, careful selection of items to bring into bed, small drinks of milk, kicking the wall til Craig and I get so annoyed that we come in and yell and growing pains. These last are actually real. We think. Or, perhaps it's monster trucks. He likes those as well.

current outfit: Well, today was the third time I've picked him up at preschool to find him in a beautiful ballerina costume -- tutu, flowers, spandex galore. Today he was wearing them with aviator sunglasses and told me he was a robot ballerina.
current fragrance: Cold fall air in the musty smell of little boy hair.
current drink: Chocolate milk. Or, if we allow him to drink it through a crazy straw, anything at all.
current wish list: A slinky dog. Oh the slinky dog. We hear about it a lot and have told him to ask Santa for a slinky dog. This has resulted in at least daily conversations about what Santa is doing right now and his guess is almost always going to Target to buy me a slinky dog.
current triumph: Being able to ride and steer his tricycle well enough to take it distances.
current bane of his existence: Being told to do anything. Lack of control over virtually everything.
current celebrity crush: I don't know that he has one. He really only watches cartoons, so I'm not sure he's aware of celebrities. Though one of his teachers is like a celebrity to him and we discuss his whereabouts on our days away from school quite a bit.
current indulgence: Watching his father play motorcycle games on Xbox. Don't ask me. It sounds pretty lame to sit around and watch someone drive pretend motorcross, but he is ecstatic whenever offered the opportunity to do so. And the more games Craig wins, the more vehicles they can unlock. The unlocking of vehicles appeals to Sam in a major way, especially if it's a monster truck.
current excitement: Going to school, target, grandma and papa's house, and the moment dad gets home from work. He loses his mind pretty much every day.
current mood: Defiant.
