Where do I begin?

It's been a while. We've been out Christmasing and Ringing in the New Year all over the Midwest. So, I went to load our photos on the computer to see what we've got and there was some obscene and overwhelming number of pictures on it -- like 170 or something. And I don't know how to wrap up the whirlwind of fun, generosity, and sweetness we experienced this holiday season in a short blog post with our 170 pictures. That's just too tall an order at 11:15 at night while I battle strep. But I feel I've neglected those of you who come here (shall I be so bold to say it) for a daily dose of Sam and Henry only to find I've not posted. Again.

So, let me tell you a few key things and share a few key photos and then I will attempt to do something much grander with Christmas at a later date.

  • Papa Cliff taught Henry how to sit up. He loves to sit up. And we love it too.
  • Henry has slept through the night 2 nights in a row now. Everyone, go knock on wood. No seriously. Do it, or I will blame you for the next time he wakes up. You think I'm joking, but I am totally not joking. Go. Knock. On. Wood.
  • Henry does not like vegetables of any kind really. I have some great video of him trying to eat vegetables and will post it after the great Christmas post.
  • Sam had a very robot Christmas -- a stuffed robot named Moody, a real robot who walks around and spins and does all kinds of fancy tricks, a book called Robot Zot, and robot sheets. He is in full out robot mania.
  • Sam thinks Advent can work backward and now wants to close one flap on his advent calendar each morning.
  • Sam entertained Craig and I in the car on the way home from Kansas City by having his dinosaur sing The Gambler to his rubber chicken.
Craig teaching Henry how to air drum.

Sam's ridiculously cute piggy bank that Nina made.
