Later in the morning, he asked where we were going today, and I told him he was going back to school. He was there all day yesterday too. Tears welled up in his eyes. "But MOMMY, I can't go to school EVERY day. I have to be home with you sometimes too. "
Ah. I felt awful. So I gave him lots of hugs and kisses all morning and stayed long at drop off at school. (He seemed to warm to the idea of going when he heard his favorite teacher would be there.) But I think I may pick him up an hour early anyway, just to have a little extra time with him. Isn't Sam the bomb?
my hero Sam and I like to ride the mower thru the yard and let the branches hit us in the face and yell like little girls(ya gotta be ther). We happened to ride thru a bush with berries on it.We went into the house and Sam sat in the chair. As I walked in Michele noticed berry stains on my shorts. When she asked in one of her "voices", what happened, I jokingly blurted out "it's Sams fault".
ReplyDeleteSam being concerned for my safety was a complete stand-up guy. Without any concern for his welfare he said,I did it grandma it was my fault.I felt like a heel confronted with such an honest person. Sam is da bomb paparaiso
