Weekend Adventures.

We had a nice weekend.  How about you?  We spent Saturday with our friend Joey at his house and the park across the street from him.  It was the perfect day to spend at the park.  The kids played for like 4 hours while we visited.  And then we drove back to Naperville for Sam's soccer game.  He played goalie for on period and saved three goals.  He's definitely more into the game this year than he was last.  I get the sense that the kids in his class talk a lot about sports because we discuss them a lot more than we used to.  He is very interested in basketball and The Bulls.  He and Craig play a lot of Nerf basketball before bed. And I think if he keeps up his interest, maybe we can find a hoop for whatever ends up being our permanent house.

Sunday was a day of house chores.  Not worth too much mention.  But I will say the giant hostas that were overtaking our front garden have been sliced away.  For now.  I think Craig is loathe to dig them and divide them if we won't even be here next summer.  So, we're holding off on that chore for now.

This upcoming weekend we are taking the boys camping with our dear friends, The Hafars.  We're going to Starved Rock which is an awesome state park with amazing hikes.  I think everyone is extremely excited.  I certainly am.  But I gotta say, the low of 33 on Saturday night has me a wee bit concerned.  It'll be an adventure.  We're really roughing it too.  A site with no water or electricity.  However, we did make sure that there is a nice bathroom in walking distance cause this lady does not go in a port a potty or in the woods in the dead of night.  I mean, I just have to draw the line somewhere.

Hope you all are well and have adventures awaiting you.
