Camping Round 2

A few more pictures to share from our camping trip to Starved Rock.  After our first hike, we went on another.  Henry was exhausted, so I ended up carrying him on my shoulders most of the way down the hike, and Craig carried him back.  It was a lot of stairs.  And at the bottom, we came across an orange river. How did this happen?!?

The end of the hike offered some caves that the boys could climb through.  After they finished that, they dug up rocks with their fingers.

The next day we spent at a pumpkin patch/orchard with a lot of fun things for the kids to do.  Sam's favorite was riding on these pedal tractors.

They had this big jumping thing called a jumping pillow.  Henry needed assistance getting on it.  Sam just sort of hauled him up.  But once he was up, he seemed to get the gist.

Sam spent a lot of time doing fancy jumps where he ended up on his butt and back.

Oh yes.  There was a petting zoo.  I coudln't stomach the smells for very long, but I snagged this photo of the camel who was very intrigued with Craig and Henry.

It was a great trip.

And it was cold.
