Well, Spring Break is upon us officially. The boys are taking this Spring Break thing really seriously and seem to think that I have something extra special planned every single day-- which I guess I sort of do. Today's big event is to go swimming at the YMCA. The kids are sort of beside themselves. If I knew how exciting this event was, I'd do it more. But then I guess it wouldn't be as exciting.
I am so very close to 9 months pregnant and I am putting on a swimming suit. Now that is love, people.
Tomorrow, I have a babysitter coming over during the day for a few hours so that I can do my homework and work work since I do NOT have a spring break. Then in the afternoon, Sam and Henry's good friends Jacob and Tyler are having a sleepover. The anticipation for this event is on par with the anticipation I see around Christmas.
Wednesday, I might just say OH MY GOSH CHILL OUT FOR A MINUTE AND GO PLAY IN YOUR BEDROOM WHILE MOMMY HAS A VODKA TONIC. That or the Children's Museum.
Thursday is another day I hired a sitter for a few hours.
I was also thinking we might throw a movie in one day too. I don't know. We'll see.
At the moment we are gorging on my impulse purchase of Cinnamon Toast Crunch at the store. The kids can't believe that I bought something they see in commercials since my usual refrain at the grocery store is if you saw it on TV it doesn't belong inside your body. It is true of Cinnamon Toast Crunch too, but I couldn't seem to resist last night.
The kids are hovering around me this morning in a way that they don't usually do. Henry is following me from room to room with his toys and Sam has a ruler and is measuring pretty much everything he sees and then reporting the results to me in a scientific fashion but keeps calling them cenly-meters.
And that's pretty much where we're at. Hope your Spring Break brings less snow and more Spring.
I'll try to snag some pictures since it's been a few days since I posted any.
