I hope you all had a nice Easter. Ours was. Though, a few days before Easter, Sam got strep throat and both Henry and Gus had ear infections. But by Sunday morning, we were all feeling good enough to enjoy Easter celebrations. We colored eggs Friday night. Henry is a very fast egg colorer. He gets through like 8 before we even finish one. Next year, I will be boiling more eggs.
The boys were happy with the goodies they found in their baskets -- lots of candy and a few choice toys. After breakfast, we finally found all the easter eggs that the bunny had hidden while we slept. Both boys found 9. But somehow Henry was convinced he "lost" and was very upset by the experience. Ah well.
Gus found zero. But he did observe the hunt and look around at everyone with his usual pleasantness.
We went to Valpo to join my parents at church. The older boys went to Bible School and then did an egg hunt afterwards. And Gus pretty much climbed me like a jungle gym through the service. In the last like 4 minutes of the service, I realized they had a nursery I could have dropped him off at, but whatever.
We tried to take a family photo outside the church. These were the best ones we got because the sun was incredibly bright and very upsetting to anyone age 8 and under.
We did another family photo at my parents house. And Sam did is best "no pictures please" move.
And then Henry busted out the bubbles. Because, hello! Easter! Time for bubbles.
We had a nice dinner with my parents, Aunt Sara and Uncle Larry. The kids played outside a lot and it was an all around just nice day. I'm hopeful that spring is here to stay this time. Because I'm ready to plant some flowers and some vegetables and all that. XOX to you all.
