Sorry to have been gone so long.
We've been out of town for the 4th of July/Craig's birthday visiting Grandma and Grandpa in KC. We all had such a nice time. Sam loved bonding with his grandparents. He spent a good deal of time getting his face licked by an excited Ginger and having Grandma walk him around the house. She must have the magic touch inspiring him to walk, rather than crawl. There were tons of fun toys to play with. A swing in a tree, a wading pool, blocks, books, and a bubble blower. But nothing really topped the balloons. Sam can't get enough of the balloons, man. His response to fireworks was pretty great. Craig lit off a big string of firecrackers. Sam startled, grimaced a little, then reconsidered. He sat still for a minute, and then apparently deciding that it was not worth getting worked up over, threw his legs up on the tray of his stroller, picked up his milk and soaked it all in. Priceless.
We spent the day at the beach again today. This time with company. A few fun pics, but I forbid you to notice my thighs.
