So, after a week of suffering a bad cold that just was not getting better, I finally got Gus into the doctor yesterday. She walked into the room and said (before even looking at him) I can hear his cough from out there and can tell he needs antibiotics. After examining him, she told me he had a double eye infection, double ear infection, and a sinus infection. She told me that if I hadn't had all 3 kids with me, she'd have sent me for a chest x-ray but that we will hold off for now. I have had enough nursing classes and sick children to know that pneumonia is not off the table and that's what the chest x-ray would be for. So, he is now on a doozy of an antibiotic and some eye medication and we have to go back in 7 days to make sure that he is WAAAAAAY better.
