So, it's a little bit cold outside.
Our furnace is working some major overtime. We have it set at 70, but it can only seem to climb it's way up to 61 at the moment, since it's negative 13 outside with windchill factors of negative 40.
It is a wee bit chilly for my taste.
We've closed off Gus and Henry's rooms because they are the coldest and have no water pipes in them. Henry is sleeping in Sam's room tonight and Gus is sleeping in the pack and play in ours.
School was cancelled today and it's cancelled tomorrow too.
Craig stayed home from work today for obvious reasons, but even if he'd wanted to go, the highways were shut down and the train wasn't running. Right now, he's reading up on his self-charging jump start system, just in case, for his commute tomorrow. We are not forcing Lily to go outside too much and when we do, she looks like it hurts her paws to put them in the snow.
It's quite weird outside actually. There are no cars driving. There are no people outside. There are very few tracks anywhere. It's just pristine white, bitterly cold, and very quiet. It feels like something out of a post-apocalyptic movie. And while I am eager for it to warm up, I did enjoy the sheer weirdness of it.
My brother called today and seemed sort of jealous. He is a lover or mother nature's extremes.
I don't have any pictures. I am afraid that if I take one, the shutter on my camera will just shatter. ;)
